FABBRICA: MANFACTURER OF FINE FOODS
FABBRICA - a restaurant, espresso bar, bakery and pastry shop - is slated to open at the end of August on the Williamsburg waterfront, at the corner of North 6th Street and Kent Avenue, at The Edge condominium.
The name FABBRICA - Italian for factory - is an homage to the extraordinary history of the neighborhood, once characterized by active manufacturing (most notable the Domino Sugar Factory, once the largest refinery in the US).Fabbrica is a place to enjoy authentic, contemporary Italian cuisine in a casual and relaxing atmosphere.
Award-winning Italian Executive Chef Francesco Pecoraro, Slow Food© Member of the Italian Chapter, will lead the kitchen. The Pastry Chef is Mirco Del Vecchio, formerly with Balthazar.
Its ambiance and trendy decor, spacious bar and high ceilings evoke an ageless industrial-era New York.The vast theatrical space is decorated by a large mural created by the acclaimed Brooklyn artist Olalekan Jeyifous, aka Vigilism.com
